Prince William gets a very special surprise on his 43rd birthday
The Prince of Wales received wishes from his family and friends, including King Charles and David Beckham
Prince William’s birthday came with a personal shoutout from none other than his favourite football club.
On Saturday, June 21, Aston Villa marked the Prince of Wales’ 43rd birthday with a playful message on X.
“Happy Birthday to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales,” alongside a purple heart emoji in honour of the team’s colours.
William, a longtime Villa fan, also received additional well-wishes from David Beckham, and the Royal Family’s official page.
His wife, Princess Kate, and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were among the first to wish him.
A photo shared by the Wales family’s social media showed William in Windsor with their beloved dog Orla and three of her four new puppies. The shot, taken earlier this month by Princess Catherine, was posted with a message signed “with love” from Kate and the kids.
The future King's love for Villa isn’t just for show. He’s a paid subscriber to Villa TV, admitted to anonymously posting on fan forums, and attended multiple Champions League games last season.
Even William's eldest son Prince George has followed suit, appearing at matches in a Villa jersey. However, the doting dad insists his kids are free to support whichever club they want.
