Colin Farrell, who is set to lead Sgt. Rock film, was reportedly cancelled.

A few weeks ago, Deadline reported that the movie is no longer moving forward, and its production has been stopped at DC Studios.

Rumours had it that the major issue was with the film’s shooting location and weather conditions.

Meanwhile, James Gunn think that the script was incomplete, and the project was not ready to go before cameras this is why the makers delayed the project.

Some outlets reported that the movie could film in summer 2026 with a release in 2027.

To clear the confusion, CEO DC Studios James confirmed in a statement that the Penguin star’s new movie is still moving forward.

He told Entertainment Weekly, "I feel like we're in a pretty good place. We're still moving forward, but it's not going to be...What would Peter want me to say here?”

“So, it's still moving forward, but, yeah, right now it wasn't exactly where I wanted it to be creatively, and so it needs to change a little bit.”

Sgt. Rock is a film based on WWII American Sergeant named Frank Rock, who leads his infantry unit in various battles across Europe.
