Lorde’s upcoming album is set to be released in June
Lorde released her last heartfelt rendition from her upcoming fourth music album, Virgin.
The Ribs singer took to her Instagram account to share the first look of her final track.
She captioned the post, "Hammer. Directed by Renell Medrano. Shot on location in Hampstead Heath. Out Friday."
In another post, the Team crooner shared that the last song of her highly anticipated album was shot by "An ode to city life and horniness tbh."
The electric music of the new song is similar to Lady Gaga’s Poker Face, according to some fans. Meanwhile, the lyrics of the song echoed the popular singer's recent remarks about fostering a close friendship with Chappell Roan in the past year.
Hammer came after Virgin‘s first two singles, What Was That and Man of the Year. Lorde dropped the former in April along with a DIY music video filmed in part at a fan meetup in Washington Square Park, and on the latter released in late May, she reflects on her broadening gender identity while embracing her inner masculinity.
Virgin album is will be available to stream on July 27.
