Tobin Bell returns to the franchise as 'John Kramer'
Saw, the popular horror franchise, has just received a new update about another installment.
Earlier in March, the writer Patrick Melton, who has been working on the film series since 2017, shared that the new sequel has been "stalled at a managerial level" and that "Saw XI may or may not be made."
Recently, a fresh development has come out on the much-awaited project, which might leave longtime fans excited.
According to the reports, production company Blumhouse has a acquired the rights of the future Saw movies with the OG director James Wan returning for the new entry.
Meanwhile, Lionsgate will also continue to be a partner retaining 50% ownership stake in the series.
Wan, in a statement, expressed, “Coming back to this world with a fresh perspective is both thrilling and deeply personal.”
“For me, this will mark a significant creative return to the Saw franchise for the first time since the early days.”
The filmmaker further revealed what fans may expect from the new movie.
“I’m very much looking forward to embracing the original spirit whilst pushing the legacy forward in bold, unexpected ways.”
2023’s Saw X created gauged a lot attention as it brought back Tobin Bell as the series killer, John Kramer.
