Jonathan Bailey revealed his future in Bridgerton after the hit series was renewed for season five and six.

Bailey plays Lord Anthony Bridgerton, eldest of eight siblings, who became the 9th Viscount Bridgerton after his father’s death.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Wicked star revealed whether he is quitting from the regency-era drama or staying for a long time.

"I've never been someone who's like, 'Thanks, bye,'" Jonathan explained. "It's not in my nature."

In season two of the series his character tied the knot with Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) and since then in season three and upcoming season four, he plays a supporting character as the main plot centres around the love story of different siblings.

"I know how much I love long-running series," he noted. "I know how important familiarity of character and story and consistency is in these long-running series."

The Jurassic World Rebirth actor continued, "There's a real sense of brotherly pride I feel in it."

However, he also knows that with the conflicting schedules due to his other projects and storylines without his character in the series may occur he still "look forward to, in another however many years, when we've done the eighth season to sit around and be like, 'Look what we all did together.'"

The upcoming fourth season will follow the love story of second brother Benedict Bridgerton with a maid in disguise Sophie Baek (Yerin Hall), beginning after they meet at infamous masquerade ball.

Bridgerton season four is set to arrive on Netflix in 2026.
