Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp are back together on screen, this time in the action comedy Bride Hard, a film that combines the humour of Bridesmaids with the action of Die Hard.
Wilson stars as a secret agent who must save the day when armed mercenaries crash her childhood best friend's wedding, played by Camp.
Wilson and Camp previously co-starred in the Pitch Perfect franchise, and Wilson expressed her excitement about working with her friend again.
"I love Anna, I think she's one of the world's best actresses... She's so multitalented," Wilson told The Hollywood Reporter. Camp plays the bride in the film, and the two actresses play best friends once again.
Director Simon West praised the casting of Camp, saying, "It was just easy because they're friends. There's so much else going on in the film... Getting somebody like Anna Camp who is already her best friend and has already worked with her and they know each other's timing, it just makes the whole thing so obvious."
Wilson's role in Bride Hard marks her first foray into action, and she cites Tom Cruise and Daniel Craig as her action star inspirations.
"Obviously I'm not a serious action person, I'm not going to be in the John Wick franchise, but I feel like action comedy maybe there's a few roles coming up in that space which would be really fun," she said
