Pusha T reveals reason behind Travis Scott's 'surprising' title in recent track
Pusha T and No Malice take a dig at Travis Scott’s loyalty in new track So Be It.
The Clipse duo, known for their acclaimed mixtape series We Got It 4 Cheap, call out American rapper in their latest single – branding him a w****.
In an exclusive conversation with GQ magazine, Pusha, 48, reflected on the diss directed at the SICKO MODE hitmaker.
He explained, “The true context of that is we were in Paris, literally working, and he was calling to play [Pharrell Williams] his new album.”
The Diet Coke rapper took a trip down memory lane as he shared the full story in the interview.
He continued, “He sees me and [Malice] there. He’s like, ‘Oh, man, everybody’s here,’ he’s smiling, laughing, jumping around, doing his f***ing monkey dance. We weren’t into the music, but he wanted to play it, wanted to film [us and Pharrell listening to it]. And then a week later you hear Meltdown, which he didn’t play. He played the song but not [Drake’s verse].”
Later in the interview, Pusha also spoke about what he sees as Travis’ lack of loyalty, saying, “He’s done this a lot. He has no picks. He’ll do this with anybody. He did it with Sicko Mode.”
So Be It, second single from Let God Sort Em Out, was released on Tuesday, June 17.
