Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy has unveiled that he named his pet dog after taking inspiration from a classic novel of all time.
The 49-year-old Irish actor named his dog “Scout.”
In an interview with Scott Pelley on 60 Minutes, Murphy spoke about his personal life and his home country.
While spilling private details, he opened that he call his dog "Scout", which is inspired by Harper Lee’s novel, To Kill a Mockingbird.
The Batman Begins star revealed that he felt the book was fitting for him.
Cillian “always let stories lead his path”. He also opened about his love of reading novels.
The Peaky Blinders famed explained, "You find so much empathy in novels because there you are putting yourself into someone's point of view. And I’ve always been a big reader.”
“When a movie can connect with someone and they feel seen, or they feel heard, or a novel can change someone's life, or a piece of music, an album.”
Murphy continued, I’ve had all that happen to me. And that’s the power of good art, I think.”
Work wise, the Inception actor is reportedly going to feature in Danny Boyle’s 28 Days Later.
