'Jurassic World Rebirth' director takes inspiration from 'Gladiator' creator for new film
Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey to lead the new 'Jurassic World' film
Gareth Edwards, director of the all-new Jurassic World Rebirth, has confessed that he took inspiration from filmmaker Ridley Scott.
While speaking about his new project, Edwards reflected how the visuals of Scott’s 2005 film Kingdom of Heaven became an inspiration for the 2025 Jurassic World sequel.
In an interview for SFX Magazine, the Godzilla director revealed that the more and more he watched the film closely, he thought of it as "perfection."
Gareth added, “John Mathieson was the director of photography and the more and more I looked at it, the more I was like, ‘This is perfection. There’s not a bad frame in this movie.”
The British filmmaker confessed that he always had love and respect for Ridley’s work.
“I’ve always had this love for his work. When you start a film like this, you have a group of names you’d like to work with, and the studio have a group of names they would trust.”
The forthcoming action sci-fi features Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett and Jonathan Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis.
