Ruth Jones announces separation with David Peet after 26 years of marriage
Ruth Jones, who is widely known for creating and starring in popular show Gavin and Stacey, has legally separated from her husband David Peet.
The 58-year-old actress tied the knot with Peet in 1999. After 26 years of marriage, the couple has decided to part ways amicably.
In a statement Ruth revealed that even though the two separated 18 months ago, but they have now legally separated.
The Welsh actress and comedian informed the PA News Agency, “We amicably went our separate ways 18 months ago and are now legally separated. We remain good friends.”
She also confirmed that she has been living in London for a while now and David has been living in Canada with his new partner.
Jones added, “Since our separation, Ruth is living in London and David is living in Canada, where he is in a new relationship.”
Ruth rose to fame with BBC sitcom Gavin and Stacey, which also features popular TV host James Corden, Mathew Horne, Rob Brydon, Larry Lamb and others.
