Carole Middleton stepped out in style as she had arrived at Royal Ascot just moments before Kensington Palace revealed that the Prince of Wales would not be attending the event as planned.
Royals fans were excited to see her future Queen attending the mega event alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla, and Prince William. However, Princess Kate did not take part in the Royal Procession despite the official announcement.
Her name had appeared on the carriage schedule released at midday, confirming she was set to ride with Prince William in the second carriage during the traditional procession.
Kensington Palace announced her surprising withdrawal less than two hours before her expected arrival. The abrupt change surprised many attendees, as Prince William was also scheduled to present race prizes later in the day during the prestigious gathering.
What drew attention was the arrival of Kate's mother, Carole Middleton, who was photographed arriving at the venue shortly before the news of her daughter's withdrawal broke.
Carole appeared in high spirits as she was spotted alongside her daughter in law Alizee Thevenet, the wife of Kate's brother, James Middleton.
As of now, Prince William is now expected to ride in the first carriage alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla, and Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Saud during the Royal Procession.
For those unfamiliar, Princess Kate have had made two important public appearances in recent days-attending Trooping the Colour on Saturday and the Order of the Garter ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor on Monday.
