Ariana Grande is not in a hurry to sign any new movie following her Wicked success.
A source close to the singer turned actress’ business team spilled to Life & Style about her career plans.
“Arianna doesn't need praise or her face on billboards all over town constantly,” said an insider.
Sharing real reason behind her decision, the source mentioned that it's “not about ego for her, and everybody knows she's not dipping her toe into movies because she needs the money”.
“She's being extremely picky about movie-makers and she's quality-controlling everything she can when she commits to a project,” explained an insider.
The source dished that Ariana “wants every movie she agrees to make to be special and singular, and that can mean saying 'no' to a lot of pretty tempting offers”.
It is pertinent to note that she started her career as a child star, which is why, her experience has made her “wary of overexposure and she knows when to put her head down, duck out of sight and focus on the work”.
“This also gives her a key advantage over other stars in her age bracket,” reflected an insider.
However, the source added, “Ariana knows she's in a class by herself and she's very motivated to get another Oscar nomination under her belt for Wicked: For Good, not because she needs the validation, but because it will be good for the movie as a whole.”
For now, the actress will be seen in Wicked For Good movie, which is going to release in theatres on November 21, 2025.
