Amanda Seyfried shares her thoughts on sequels in Hollywood
Amanda Seyfried makes bold declaration about movie sequels
Amanda Seyfried has recently shared her two cents on movie sequels in Hollywood.
The Dear John actress revealed she’s annoyed of sequels, claiming that studios only favour them because they are “easy money”.
While speaking with Superman star Rachel Brosnahan for Interview magazine, Amanda opened up that the new superhero flick will be like Barbenheimer.
“It’s like Barbenheimer,” said the 39-year-old.
However, the Last Word actress mentioned that this year “it’s going to be like — what else is coming out?”
Rachel pointed out that movies like Jurassic World Rebirth, Superman and Fantastic Four will release in this summer.
So, she asked, “What’s our Barbenheimer between Fantastic Four, Jurassic Park and Superman? The people need you. Supertastic Park?”
Interestingly, Amanda responded, “It’s Fantastic Super Park. It’s Four Superparks. Four Dinosaurs. Four Super Dinosaurs. I don’t know!”
“I will say, there’s a little bit of fatigue with sequels,” declared the Anon actress.
Amanda believed that the original content is “really scary and brave to do it,” instead of sequels which is “not scary and not very brave to do”.
“It’s just for money and it’s frustrating,” mentioned the Clappers actress.
However, Amanda clarified, “Then again, I’d do Mamma Mia! 3 in a heartbeat.”
Meanwhile, Rachel, who stars in James Gunn’s new movie as Lois Lane, added that she would also return for a Superman sequel.
