Lewis Hamilton reflects on his behind-the-scenes role on the upcoming racing movie
Lewis Hamilton has recently learned key elements while serving as a producer for upcoming racing movie, F1.
In a new interview with Variety, the Ferrari Formula 1 driver, who was also a producer as well as actor in the movie, explained his involvement in the making of the movie.
“It’s been a huge learning experience for me to get to learn in the presence of Joe Kosinski and Jerry Bruckheimer. Jerry’s just such a legend. He’s done so many great movies and Joe is such a perfectionist,” said the 40-year-old.
Lewis told the outlet that it’s been “amazing to see all the work that goes on in the background of making a movie”.
The racing star admitted that he “loves” movies and even “loves” watching series, and particularly movies.
“I watch a lot of movies, and you want one that’s this action-packed, and keeps you on edge the whole way through,” he continued.
Dishing out details about the movie production, Lewis mentioned that he would come to LA and be in Jerry’s office, which was mad, or Joe’s studio going through beat by beat the script, the dialogue, the terminology that’s authentic to racing drivers.
“I got to get involved in all that. And then we got composer Hans Zimmer on board, and we go to his studio and see him create. It’s been an emotional roller coaster,” pointed out the racing driver.
Elsewhere in the interview, Lewis also revealed what he wants people to take out from this new movie.
“I said to Jerry and Joe, when we do this movie, we want to make sure that people watching it see what we want Formula 1 to be in future, so it is super diverse,” added the F1 champion.
Meanwhile, F1 is slated to release in theaters on June 27.
