Kiera Knightley, Rosamund Pike reunite for ‘Pride & Prejudice’ anniversary

Kiera Knightly and Rosamund Pike sat down to reminisce about their time on the Pride and Prejudice set on its 20th anniversary.

The actresses played the iconic role of Elizabeth Bennet and Jane Bennet respectively, in 2005 adaptation of Jane Austin’s novel of the same name.

While breaking down the movie scenes and revealing some behind-the –scene moments on Vanity Fair, Pike recalled waking up at 3 am witness one of the film’s most romantic scene.

"Remember when you did the dawn scene, where he’s coming across the lawn? We all got up with you," Pike shared.

A surprised Knightley replied, "You all got up with us? Everyone got up at 3 a.m.?"

"Yes!" Pike said. "We did!"

The scene in question was one where Mr Darcy (Matthew Macfadyen) finally confessed his feelings for Elizabeth saying, "You have bewitched me body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you. And wish from this day forth never to be parted from you."

Knightley and Pike also discussed about the number Darcys, The Atonement actress must have met during the audition.

However, the Black Doves star refused to comment on it and went to gush about her co-star Macfadyen.

"It was very clear that it was Matthew from the get-go. He’s just such a nice man," she added.

While it’s been 20 successful years of Oscar nominated Pride and Prejudice film, its TV series is soon set to take place on Netflix.

With Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden are set to play Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy and Olivia Colman has been tapped to play Corrin's onscreen mother Mrs. Bennet.
