Demi Moore hopes to get an Oscar nomination for her upcoming movie with Colman Domingo
Demi Moore is all set to win an Oscar in the future after she was snubbed for The Substance movie.
A source spilled to In Touch Weekly that the Songbird actress “sets herself up” for success as she teams up with Colman Domingo for the indie movie, Strange Arrivals.
According to an insider, Colman is a “well-liked figure in the industry,” and it’s believed that he could even get an Oscar nomination for sneezing in a TikTok video.
“People love that guy and want to see him succeed, and after losing out on an Oscar in March after a stellar run, everybody’s rooting for Demi as well,” explained a source.
For the unversed, Demi lost to Mikey Madison who earned this year’s Oscar for Best Actress in a horror movie, Anora.
However, the loss didn’t slow her down as she began working with Colman over her new movie.
“Having Colman in the movie is like having an insurance policy that guarantees the movie will be well received, at least within industry circles,” mentioned an insider.
The source pointed out that Demi wants to win an Oscar and “is ready to fight even harder for one than she did for The Substance”.
“During that awards campaign, Demi kept it classy, and used her frontrunner status to stay above the fray,” continued an insider.
The source further said, “At the end of the day, she went home empty-handed after coming incredibly close to winning.”
Meanwhile, the Striptease actress took her time to pick her follow-up movie after The Substance movie.
“Demi is a smart person but when it comes to the Oscar race, teaming up with Colman is a stroke of absolute genius!” added an insider.
