Lewis Pullman is in talks to reunite on screen with his father Bill Pullman after over a decade since appearing together in in the western The Ballad of Lefty Brown,
Reportedly The Thunderbolts* star is negotiating a deal to star in the upcoming Spaceballs sequel, helmed by Amazon MGM Studios.
The Mel Brooks-directed original film was released in 1987 featuring elder Pullman as solo-esque character Lone Starr and is fondly remembered for its riffs on Star Wars and other sci-fi staples, from Star Trek to 2001 A Space Odyssey.
While the studio is planning to give the sequel a theatrical release in 2027, officially there’s still no word regarding the role Lewis will be playing.
However, sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the 32-year-old actor will play a character named Starburst, the son of Queen Vespa (Daphne Zuniga) and Lone Starr (Bill).
For the unversed, almost a decade ago the younger Pullman kicked off his acting career by appearing opposite dad Bill in the The Ballad of Lefty Brown.
Since then, he carved his own path by appearing in acclaimed projects which include Tom Cruise starring Top Gun: Maverick and Marvel Studios’ The Thunderbolts*.
Notably, Lewis also earned an Emmy nomination for Lessons in Chemistry.
