'Vossi Bop' singer also shares big news about his acting debut
American rapper and singer Stormzy has officially launched his own production house.
Taking it to Instagram, the 31-year-old songwriter shared the amazing news and even confirmed his first official role as an actor under his new company.
“I’m so proud and excited to officially introduce #Merky Films – the latest addition to the #Merky family.”
The Own It singer further mentioned, “This is something we’ve been working on behind the scenes for a long time: a platform for bold, authentic and powerful British storytelling. A home for original and unexpected art.”
Stormzy revealed in the detailed post that he will be marking his acting debut with a film titled Big Man backed by Merky Films in collaboration with Apple.
“I’m proud to share our very first official production: Big Man, produced in partnership with Apple - out on June 18th. A short film directed by the legendary Aneil Karia”, he wrote.
Fans are extremely excited for the new film already as they have flooded the comment section of the Instagram post with reactions.
One of them wrote, “Big Stormz trying to break the mould we love that.” Meanwhile, another fan commented, “Ahh. I die here.”
