Chris Evans, who is globally acclaimed for playing Captain America in various Marvel movies, does not get the kind of recognition that he deserves, especially in award shows.
Many of his fans are upset and disappointed as they feel that despite having potential, the 43-year-old actor is ignored at major awards including Oscars, Golden Globes and others.
They believed that his role as Steve Rogers/ Captain America might have overshadowed his acting talent even though he has played phenomenal characters in films like Knives Out, Gifted, Ghosted and Snowpiercer.
One of the Reddit users expressed, "I think his acting chops are often overlooked because of his role as Captain America, but he's had excellent performances in other films outside the MCU, such as Snowpiercer, Knives Out, and Gifted."
On the other hand, some fans highlighted that he worked quite well in TV show Defending Jacob and deserved a major accolade for the role.
"In my opinion, his best role was in the TV series Defending Jacob, for which he should have been nominated for major awards. What do you think of him as an actor?"
