Upcoming 'F1' movie is Brad Pitt’s decades of manifestation in motion
Brad Pitt finally checked off a dream project from his bucket list by starring in F1: The Movie.
On Tuesday, June 10, during a global press conference in Mexico City, the Fight Club star got honest about his long-held obsession with racing movies weeks ahead of the F1 movie release.
"It was just a dream come true," said the two-time Oscar-winning actor, describing his experience starring in the high-octane sports drama. "I've been trying to do a racing film for literally decades."
Despite previous attempts to make a racing film, whether centred on bikes or cars, Pitt revealed it never quite worked out until now. He expressed his gratitude for finally getting the opportunity.
Angelina Jolie’s ex-husband continued, "I'm so grateful because the experience Joe gave us, putting us in the car, putting us in this ecosystem of the F1 racing season, with all the drivers, with the teams, was just an extraordinary experience."
Reflecting on director Joseph Kosinski’s vision for the film, the 61-year-old actor added, "For me, it was just a no-brainer when he had this audacious plan to embed us in the racing season, to put us actually in the cars."
F1: The Movie is set to hit international theaters on June 25, 2025, and will premiere in North America on June 27, 2025.
