Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt discusses his love for F1 racing at a fan event in Mexico City
Brad Pitt has recently shared his novel experience of F1 racing ahead of his movie release, F1.
The Troy star attended a fan event in Mexico City this week to promote the movie before its release on June 27 and directed by Joseph Kosinski.
Interestingly, Brad spoke up about racing in front of real F1 fans, saying that he and his co-star Damson Idris didn’t drive the actual F1 race cars in the movie, they drove modified Formula 2 cars.
When asked if he was scared of driving fast, the Bullet Train actor told Extra, “No, the speed becomes relative.”
“It’s more of, like, trusting the brakes. That gets your attention a little more,” explained the 61-year-old.
Elsewhere in the interview, Brad revealed what it’s like filming scenes during actual F1 grands prix.
“We had been, like, rehearsing [at Silverstone in England] for a few weeks, so it kind of felt like it was home,” spilled the Babylon actor.
Brad further said, “Then when the whole race movement comes in it’s such a juggernaut of a machine.”
“It is really awe-inspiring, and then to get on the track with 100,000 fans, I was a little bit nervous,” he remarked.
However, Brad admitted it was a high for him once you get going.
Meanwhile, the IF actor explained how his F1 role invigorate him, to which Brad replied, “Doing this long and find something that’s like almost starting over. It’s so full of passion, gave me a feeling that I never had…”
“It was just sublime and I am pretty grateful for director Joseph Kosinski for coming up with this unique idea,” added Brad.
