Scarlett Johansson discusses ‘Thunderbolts’ movie with David Harbour for a magazine interview
Scarlett Johansson has recently shared one shocking detail about her Thunderbolts movie.
The Asteroid City actress discussed her movie’s opening day with David Harbour for Interview Magazine.
When Stranger Things star congratulated Scarlett on being an “executive producer” of the movie, to which she replied, “I asked to have my credit removed because I wasn't involved.”
David quipped, “You hated the movie that much?”
However, the Oscar-nominated actress mentioned, “No, you're just wanting that to be the case.”
Later, Scarlett revealed she’s “proud of” David as well as the cast of Thunderbolts – a superhero movie which was directed by Jake Schreier and earned $376.8 million in the box office.
Elsewhere in the conversation, the actress reflected on her time in Marvel movies such as Iron Man 2 (2010), The Avengers (2012), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Black Widow (2021).
“Some of the movies that I did for Marvel engaged my character more than others. Like in Captain America: Winter Soldier with Chris Evans, we were really dynamic,” explained the 40-year-old.
Scarlett further said, “In some of the other movies, the cast was so enormous and there was so much plot to serve that you start to feel like you’re a device to move it along.”
“And if you're committed to five and a half months of that, it's like, ‘Okay. I can't paint my nails; I can't get a haircut,’” noted the actress.
Meanwhile, Scarlett added, “Your identity is wrapped up in this job for a long time, and if you're not doing engaging work as an actor, you feel a little cagey sometimes.”
