The forthcoming Harry Potter TV series shared an exciting update for fans as nine more actors join the cast for the highly anticipated show.
Based on hit JK Rowling’s fantasy series, the story follows a boy, Harry Potter, who learns on his eleventh birthday that he is the orphaned son of two powerful wizards and possesses unique magical powers of his own.
Shared on streaming platform’s Instagram page, the newly confirmed actors include from top left: Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy.
Second row from left: Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown and third row from left: Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley and Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge.
The announcement came weeks after actors for three main leads were announced, Dominic McLaughlin will play Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton is Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.
In addition, the previously revealed members include, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Nick Frost as Rebeus Hagrid and few others.
Set to be directed by Mark Mylod, the Harry Potter season one is slated to premiere in 2026. The release date is yet to be announced.
