Chris Evans shares 'rare' insight about his marriage with Alba Baptista

Marvel actor Chris Evans has unveiled a very unique insight about his marriage with Portuguese actress Alba Baptista.

The couple tied the knot in September 2023 in two different ceremonies; one held at Evans’ home outside of Boston and the second ceremony took place at Baptista’s hometown in Portugal.

Chris and Alba were first linked together in 2022 after being spotted together in public at some occasions. Otherwise, the duo has kept their relationship private.

Earlier, while promoting his new film Materialists, the Captain America star opened how he proposed the love of his life.

Evans admitted that he learnt to say ‘I love you’ in Portuguese and practiced for a week.

In the New York premiere of his new movie, the 43-year-old opened, “I proposed to my wife in, she’s Portuguese, so I learned how to say ‘Will you marry me?’ in Portuguese.”

The Gifted actor continued, “I had practiced it so much that, you know, while her and I, I’d be making breakfast and you, you almost just start saying it out loud, like, ‘Oh god! That’s not just a song that’s stuck in my head. It’s gonna let the cat out of the bag.”

Chris is all set to collaborate with Dakota Johnson and Pedro Pascal in romantic comedy film Materialists, slated to release on June 13.
