Ana de Armas opened up about an epic and hazardous stunt she performed for her new film, From the World of John Wick: Ballerina.

In the movie, De Armas plays Eve Macarro, a trained assassin seeking revenge for her father’s murder.

Ahead of its release, the Blonde star spoke with Entertainment Weekly about playing Eve and a "risky" scene where she wields a flamethrower against 100 foes.

"I remember the first day the stunt team was practising with the fire, and they told me to go do it before the shoot, and I said, 'No, no, no, I'll be fine," she said.

Before filming the original scene, De Armas's stunt team urged her to test her fiery skills.

She said, "They got the main fire guy that gets burned, and he's all covered in this sticky grease or whatever they put for protection, and they're like, 'Okay, go ahead. Just burn him.' And I did, and I started crying."

Explaining the reason behind her emotional outburst, the Oscar nominee revealed that she has "never seen anyone burning, even though it's fake."

However, thanks to the test run, the Deep Water actress was able to tackle the scene without any tears, "everyone was super careful, and it turned out to be an amazing experience."

In addition to De Armas, the cast also includes Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus and Ian McShane.
