Leslie Bibb shares inspiration behind ‘White Lotus’ bob cut
Leslie Bibb reveals how her ‘White Lotus’ bob pays tribute to a famous 90s haircut
Lesli Bibb revealed that her viral bob hairstyle, seen in The White Lotus, was inspired by another viral pop cultural history.
Bibb, who played Kate Bohr - a woman navigating rekindled friendships that aren’t as picture-perfect as they initially appear, sported the viral Rachel Green hairstyle in the series.
The Iron Man star, co-hosted OLAPLEX's Summer Soirée with her The White Lotus co star Michelle Monaghan and company’s ambassador Tracey Cunninghamin West Hollywood.
While attending the event, she in conversation with the People Magazine discussed about the inspiration behind her now famous bob.
She revealed that the hairdresser behind Jenifer Aniston’s Rachel look, Chris McMillan, was also the one who created her look ahead of the filming.
"This haircut has really taken off," Bibb said. "I said to [hairstylist] Chris [McMillan] as a joke, I was like, 'Oh, you did the Rachel. Now you have the c---- little bob,'" she recalled.
The iconic haircut referred to Rachel’s shoulder-grazing cut with face-framing layers. It became a global phenomenon while Friends aired through the 90s and saw some fans trying to create the look in their local salons.
Like the Rachel, Bibb’s bob cut has also inspired others to try out the style.
"What I think is really sweet, people who tag me on Instagram, and everyone's cutting their hair and I just think everybody looks so great," she added. "It makes me feel very confident, this haircut."
