Blake Lively pays tribute to her mother in a heartfelt note amid Justin Baldoni legal case
Blake Lively has recently written a heartfelt note to her mother, Willie Elaine McAlpin for creative empowerment.
The Green Lantern actress shared a photo of herself holding a bouquet on Instagram Stories on June 5, expressed her gratitude to her mother for always supporting her creative pursuits.
“Grateful to my mama for always doing creative things with me,” she wrote in the caption.
Blake continued, “Even when she was working nonstop and had zero time. She always told me I ‘couldn’t mess it up,' when I very much could.”
“What a lifelong gift that creative empowerment and trust has been. Most of my passions come from, or thanks to, her,” added the 37-year-old.
Blake also posted a solo image of her bouquet with a caption, “My flower babies, from seeds to cutting, to arrangement… @me for your next graduation funeral or wedding.”
Last month, the It Ends with Us star was honoured with TIME’s most influential people at a 100 Gala event in New York City, with her husband Ryan Reynolds
During her speech, Blake paid tribute to her mother as she praised her for being a survivor “of the worst crime someone can commit against a woman”.
“I have watched her conceal her raw and undeserved shame my entire life, so as her daughter, being asked to share this today, is monumental,” explained the Another Simple Favor actress.
Blake added, “Never underestimate a woman’s ability to endure pain.”
Earlier this week, the actress demanded to withdraw and dismiss her claims of “intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress by Justin Baldoni, who directed and costarred in It Ends with Us.
