Halle Berry is in no rush to walk down the aisle again, but she’s not ruling it out either, thinking maybe the fourth time’s the charm.
After three previous marriages, the Oscar-winning actress opened up about her current relationship with boyfriend Van Hunt during the Wednesday, June 4 episode of Jenna & Friends on the Today show.
The 55-year-old musician revealed that he had already proposed to Berry, but the Catwoman star admitted she hadn’t said yes, at least not yet.
Reflecting on past experiences, the 58-year-old actress explained that her previous marriages have made her cautious, and she needs some time to contemplate before saying yes this time.
"Well, I've been married three times," she noted, adding "Van has been married once, and so no, we don't feel like we have to get married to validate our love in any way."
Notably, The Union actress didn’t shut the door completely. In a candid confession, she added, "But I think we will get married just because, out of the people I've been married to, this is the person I should have married."
"And I feel like I should, we should get married," she continued, "but it's not because we feel like we have to. I think it's something that we would like to do just because we want that expression."
For the unversed, Berry shares daughter Nahla, 17, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry and son Maceo, 11, with ex-husband Olivier Martinez, whom she was married to from 2013 to 2016.
Her earlier marriages include former MLB player David Justice (1993–1997) and singer Eric Benét (2001–2005).
Meanwhile, Hunt is a father to one son from a previous relationship.
