The duo have been together from 2017 and were going strong despite their ups and downs.
In 2024, a source revealed that the couple had been engaged for years after sparking engagement rumours in 2020.
However, both Chris and Dakota were in no rush to tie the knot at the time.
The two have shut down break up rumours multiple times in the past and once again, there are speculations that the couple has called it quits with an insider saying, ‘it feels final this time.’
An insider told PEOPLE, "Dakota has been desperate for her and Chris to work out for years, and every time they broke up, she was devastated and in tears.”
On the other hand, there are some fans who believe that the Fifty Shade of Grey actress made the right decision as one fan wrote, “Finally Dakota will be free. She deserves more and better, not all this.”
