'The Accountant 2' excites fans with new anouncement
'The Accountant 2' starring Ben Affleck gets a new update after its theatrical release
The Accountant 2 offered a new exciting update to the series’ fans following its theatrical release.
Earlier this week, Amazon MGM Studios announced the streaming debut date of the Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal-led The Accountant sequel.
In addition to several news outlets, Deadline confirmed on Monday, June 2, that the newly released movie will begin streaming globally on Prime Video on Thursday, June 5.
The sequel, which follows up on 2016’s The Accountant, features Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband reprising his role as Christian Wolff as he attempts to solve the murder of his friend, who left behind a cryptic message to "find the accountant."
The latest date was announced in the wake of the movie’s theatrical release in April, which followed the action thriller 2025 film bagging over $100 million worldwide.
Prior to its April release, The Accountant 2 premiered at the critically acclaimed SXSW, winning the festival’s Headliner Audience Award.
In addition to Affleck and Bernthal, the star-studded ensemble includes Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson, and J.K. Simmons.
It is pertinent to note that the original The Accountant grossed $155M worldwide after its 2016 theatrical release before becoming the most-rented digital film of the subsequent year.
