Jackie Chan looks back at working in first ‘Rush Hour’ movie
Jackie Chan gave fans a rare insight into his movie, Rush Hour, as he revealed that he didn’t really know English at the time.
The 71-year-old legendary actor shared that “The whole movie, I don’t know what Chris Tucker’s saying. Not a clue.”
Chan said that he struggled to understand what was said in the first movie, as he appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Tuesday, June 3, to promote his new movie Karate Kid: Legends costars Ralph Macchio and Ben Wang.
He explained that his “dialogue coach sits right behind the camera. Every scene, every shot, different dialogue," who explained the dialogues to him.
The Police Story star was also asked about how he would rank his favourite Rush Hour movies in the trilogy, to which he said, “I don't know. You know what, the first one: little money, little time," he told Buzzfeed of the 1998 movie.
"We shot it like, ‘Go, go, go, go!’ The second one: a lot of money, a lot of time. The third one: too much money, too much time. Too much money is no good," Chan continued.
