Tobey Maguire reunites with ex-wife Jennifer Meyer for daughter's milestone

Tobey Maguire is just your friendly neighbourhood proud girl dad.

The Spider-Man star, 49, reunited with his ex-wife Jennifer Meyer to celebrate their eldest daughter Ruby’s high-school graduation. Meyer revealed the happy news in a carousel of family photos posted to her Instagram on Sunday, June 1.

“Graduate of our dreams. We are so proud of you in every way,” the jewellery designer gushed, adding five hearts and a bouquet emoji in honour of their 17-year-old’s milestone.

In the snapshots, Ruby beams between her parents, clutching fresh flowers while Maguire flashes an unmistakably proud grin. A second picture widens the frame to include younger brother Otis, 15, proving the former couple still keeps family front and centre nearly eight years after their amicable split.

Despite ending their nine-year marriage in 2016, Maguire and Meyer vowed to co-parent and raise their children “with enduring love, respect and friendship.”

The Great Gatsby actor has guarded his kids’ privacy since welcoming Ruby in 2006 and Otis in 2009, but he’s never hidden how fatherhood reshaped him.

Back at a Spider-Man 3 press day back in 2007, the Oscar-nominated actor confessed that “all the clichés are true…it’s indescribable until you’re there.”
