Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles has recently opened up about dealing business disagreement with her daughter.
Tina and the singer, who are business partners in Beyonce’s haircare line Cécred, shared it’s not easy mixing family with business while speaking on June 2 episode of Meghan Markle’s Confessions of a Female Founder podcast.
“I am the one to always cave. I’ve been like that since I was young,” said the 71-year-old.
Tina explained that if her “kids are mad at me, I can’t take it, so I’ll apologise”.
“Even as adults, if we have disagreements or whatever, I’m the one to call because I don’t want to waste that time, and I don’t ever want to not be close to my kids. It’s just my priority,” admitted the matriarch.
Tina mentioned that she and Beyonce do have disagreements about things, but at the end it’s her business.
“I’m helping with the business because I just wanna leave this earth knowing that she, other than entertainment, is going to be OK. That’s a big part of it for me,” pointed out the singer’s mom.
However, Tina added, “We get along really, really well. It’s her business, so she gets to win.”
Elsewhere on the show, Tina gushed about her daughter, saying, “She’s such a savvy businesswoman. She knows so much about hair. We trust each other.”
