Eva Longoria has recently revealed she’s going to star in Ryan Reynolds' new Welcome to Wrexham spin-off show for Disney+ with the Mexican football club she co-owns.

The Desperate Housewives actress, who is an investor in the Mexican side Club Necaxa, shared that Ryan and Rob McElhenney also purchased a stake in last year.

Interestingly, Welcome to Wrexham displays the Hollywood stars as they revive the legendary Wrexham Football Club and was filmed on location in Wales, per Daily Mail.

It is pertinent to mention that the spin-off, Bienvenido a Necaxa (Welcome to Necaxa), will follow Mexico’s Club Necaxa, with all three stars set to make an appearance.

In a new interview with GQ Mexico, Eva said, “I want people to see the good things in this country.”

“I want to focus on this. And soccer, culturally, is one of those things,” remarked the 50-year-old.

Interestingly, Eva is also one of the key investors in the Los Angeles women's team along with Serena Williams and Christina Aguilera.

Ryan and Rob reportedly bought Wrexham AFC through their RR McReynolds Company LLC in November 2020.

The duo’s company would receive the assistance of 98.6% of the 2,000 members of the Wrexham Supporters Trust that voted, completed the deal in February 2021.

Meanwhile, Ryan revealed to Wrexham fans he planned a long stay with the club as the celebrations continued after their unprecedented triple consecutive promotion.
