‘Wednesday’ season 2 unveils first six minutes: Watch
‘Wednesday’ season 2 set to unfold new mysteries with two-part season release
Jenna Ortega's returns as Wednesday Addams in the second season of hit TV series, Wednesday.
After nearly three-year wait, fans finally got a glimpse of what spooky shenanigans Wednesday is up to during the Tudum event.
Based on the iconic literary classic character Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family, originally created by Charles Adam, the highly anticipated TV series has released the first six minutes of season two opening scene.
The footage begins with a gagged Wednesday at dinner table, surrounded by eerie dolls, while she narrates her messy situation.
"Who said nightmares don't come true? He's under the delusion that I'm his next victim," she says before adding, "I'll let him cherish that notion while I explain my predicament."
The scene then flashes back to six weeks earlier, where she is shown spending her summer vacations mastering her psychic abilities. Once she is satisfied that her powers are under control, she kicks off on a journey to track down the Kansas City Scalper (Haley Joel Osment), who is regarded as her favourite serial killer as a child.
The following scene then takes place at the airport, where she is seen unloading her weapons and her partner-in-crime Thing, for the security clearance (similar scene which was in the teaser trailer).
Eventually, Wednesday comes face to face with her favourite serial killer, the Kansas City Scalper.
He presents her with a handmade doll resembling her and a trolley filled with sharp knives threatening to turn her into one of creations, saying "it's how I remember all my special guests," referring to the other dolls.
The clip ends with Thing attacking the killer as Wednesday says, "Let me show you some of my own handiwork."
Wednesday season two will release in two parts. The first part will premiere on August 6 and second part is slated for September 3 on Netflix.
