Eddie Murphy's son and Martin Lawrence's daughter quietly tie the knot

Comedy legends Eddie Murphy’s sand Martin Lawrence are officially in-laws!

Murphy revealed on The Jennifer Hudson Show that his son Eric quietly tied the knot with Lawrence’s daughter Jasmin after a few months of engagement. The Beverly Hills Cop star told Hudson during his May 29 appearance that the couple married “about two weeks ago” in a small, private church ceremony.

“Everybody was making the big wedding plans and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them,” Murphy said.

“We’re in-laws,” he added with a smile, referring to his longtime friend and former Boomerang and Life co-star.

When asked if he sang at the wedding, Murphy reiterated, “They didn’t have a wedding. They went off and they got married at the church. They just had the two of them and the preacher. They had a quiet little thing.”

But the low-key nuptials may not be the end of the celebrations. Murphy hinted that a “big party” could still be on the way for family and friends.

Eric, 35, proposed to Jasmin, 29, last November after more than three years together. 

They first went public in 2021, when Eric posted a sweet photo on Instagram saying he was “head over heels in LOVE” with her.
