'Mamma Mia 3' gets star-studded boost with Sabrina Carpenter's surprise cameo

Sabrina Carpenter is expected to bless the third installment of the Mamma Mia franchise.

During an exclusive interview with Deadline, producer Judy Cramer spilled the beans on a surprise pop star cameo in the upcoming sequel.

While she was adamant about keeping other details under wraps, she confidently told the outlet, “It’ll happen when it happens.

“Well, we know what we want to do with the movie, and it will happen. And I mean, we brought together this amazing group of movie stars that were all connected through it, and huge friendships evolved.”

In response to the ongoing speculation surrounding Carpenter's appearance, Cramer highlighted that the Espresso hitmaker could easily pass for a goddess, or even Meryl Streep’s lookalike.

This comes hot on the heels of Amanda Seyfried’s confession about sharing the screen with the 26-year-old in the third film.

She recently expressed excitement to play Sabrina’s mother in the upcoming sequel.

The actress demanded, “If Sabrina Carpenter wants to play my daughter, I’ll make it happen. I’m a big fan.”
