Lindsay Lohan opens up about singing in Freakier Friday, calling it a ‘nerve-racking’ experience.
During an exclusive interview with ELLE for their 2025 Summer Issue, published on Tuesday, May 27, the 36-year-old expressed her excitement about reprising her role as Anna in the franchise's second instalment.
Referring to her return as the iconic character, she told the outlet, “I’m excited. It feels surreal. I’ve never thought I would do a movie where there would be a sequel.
“It’s something you don’t really think about. And then when you get to do it, and bring a character that you knew so well back to life, in a sense, it’s exciting. There’s a comfort with it that you don’t find in a new character.”
In addition, she openly shared her reservations about taking on the role, which required her to showcase her singing skills.
Lohan further went on to explain, “It was good. Well, it was kind of nerve-racking at first, because I’m not singing as me.”
For the unversed, the film is slated to release on August 8, 2025, after its premiere back in 2003.
