Joe Jonas gives a perfectly dignified reply to a fan comment referencing Taylor Swift's lyrics
Joe Jonas left fans scratching their heads with his perfectly dignified response to a fan's comment that attempted to take a dig at him by referencing a lyric from his ex, Taylor Swift.
The Jonas Brothers singer shared a TikTok video of himself sporting a chic look in a suit when one fan decided to comment with a lyric from Swift’s song Mr. Perfectly Fine, a track widely believed to be about their 2008 breakup.
"So dignified in his well pressed suit [chuckling emoji]," one fan wrote, quoting the lyric from Swift’s Fearless album, released around the same time when the two dated and then split.
On Wednesday, April 23, the Cake By The Ocean singer replied to the fan comment, simply writing, "Thanks for noticing."
The DNCE frontman’s response sparked mixed reactions from fans, leaving them to wonder whether he was in on the joke or if the reference completely flew over his head.
One called his response "iconic," while another wrote, "He probably doesnt even know that’s from Mr. perfectly fine."
Another chimed in, exclaiming, "HELP THE WAY HE THINKS IT'S A GOOD THING?!!"
The Sucker singer and Swift, 35, briefly dated in 2008, and after their breakup, the pop sensation released several songs believed to reference their relationship, including Mr. Perfectly Fine.
Over the years, fans have frequently brought up these songs, and this time, one commented on Joe’s TikTok post, prompting a non-dramatic response.
