Rico Rodriguez, best known for playing the lovable Manny Delgado on Modern Family, recently opened up about his journey since the show wrapped up.
The former child star, who grew up on TV, said that he's changed a lot over the past years and he’s proud of how far he’s come.
At just 11 years old, Rico was cast as Manny on hit family show. Now, at 26, he can hardly believe it’s been five years since the show wrapped up.
He shared with People: "Five years is crazy. It doesn't feel like it, but it is. And those five years, we've all grown so much. I mean, I didn't have this much hair when I was on the show, so it's something different. And I appreciate so much of my time on that show.
And it is definitely going to help me in the long run of any other projects or things that I create on my own that moving forward, it's definitely going to be a part of me," the actor added.
The Sneaks star shared big screen with stars like Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Sarah Hyland on Modern Family and he admitted that he feels incredibly "blessed" to have been part of the experience.
Even though Rico has fond memories of Modern Family, his co-star Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who played Lily Tucker-Pritchett, also recently opened up about how the early fame left her feeling "troubled."
