Lilo & Stitch 2025: Blue alien goes wild in live-action trailer
‘Lilo & Stitch’ live-action trailer debuts ahead of May 2025 release
Stitch hits the real world to cause havoc after Lilo wishes for a best friend upon a shooting star.
The live-action trailer of the original 2002 animated film Lilo & Stitch was released on Wednesday, March 12, ahead of its May premiere.
In the first full-length trailer for Disney‘s remake, a lonely Hawaiian girl named Lilo is stunned after coming face-to-face with Stitch, a dog-like alien.
The orphan girl, who was raised by her teenage sister Nani, developed a close bond with the adorable blue extra-terrestrial creature through the Hawaiian concept of "ohana," meaning family—family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.
In the more than two minute clip, Stitch, synonymous with Blue trouble, is on the loose, creating mayhem in the lush, tropical paradise on earth.
He honks unnecessarily on the drivers and devours a CD in a moving car, causing the vehicle to spin on the road.
As the video continued, it showed Stitch destroying an impressive constructed sandcastle, chugging the liquid in a lava lamp despite Lilo’s warning and mindlessly driving a golf cart.
Lilo & Stitch is set to hit the theatres on May 23. Notably, it’ll be the second Disney live-action remake of the year, following Snow White.
