Reese Witherspoon has recently shared exciting update about upcoming Legally Blonde prequel.
While speaking to Access Hollywood at You Are Cordially Invited movie premiere on January 28, the Wild actress was asked about her search for new Elle Woods, the iconic character that Reese played in the original 2001 movie.
The Sweet Home Alabama actress replied that they have been receiving so many videos and it’s amazing “how many incredibly talented young women there are”.
But Reese mentioned that she’s “so excited” because “all that messaging, all that positivity is going to be around for next generation”.
Therefore, The Morning Show star noted that all those people, who have been raised with Elle Woods character, will be able to watch it again.
“It’s going to be fun,” remarked the 48-year-old.
Meanwhile, Reese also spoke to PEOPLE and dished out details about its production.
“We start in March,” said the actress about the prequel series.
However, Reese further said that they are still searching who’s “going to play the young me”.
The Home Again actress admitted, “It's kind of a trip.”
When asked what’s taking so much time, Reese added, “There's so many good ones. That's the hard thing because there's so many good people to choose from.”
