The 'Christmas Secret' star reveals health scare in Christmas Eve post
John Reardon expresses gratitude to everyone who stood by his side during a difficult time
John Reardon, who co-stars alongside his wife Meghan Ory in Hallmark Channel's Believe in Christmas, revealed he was diagnosed with tonsil cancer.
On Christmas Eve, the 49-year-old actor posted two photos of himself on Instagram, along with an emotional note reflecting on his recovery journey.
"Last night was my first night out after my recovery from tonsil cancer," Reardon wrote. "Has been a long road between these two pictures, and the difference is from the love and support I received from my people in my life."
Reardon expressed gratitude to his "amazing partner" Ory, their "brave kids," and his father, who helped him stay active even when getting out of bed was a struggle.
He also thanked his mother for her organic remedies, his siblings, in-laws, nanny, neighbours, and everyone who supported him with food, kind words, and encouragement throughout the difficult phase.
The Christmas Secret star extended heartfelt appreciation to the medical staff who guided him through his recovery.
Reardon wrapped up his post with a positive note, penning, "Kindness is an under appreciated quality in people."
"We should never under value it. Celebrate it and distribute it as much as possible. It is free and life changing. Happy Holidays," he added.
Reardon’s post comes as he tuned in the festive season with his family, enjoying his first Christmas after overcoming his health issues.
