Chris Rock was prepared to host Saturday Night Live (SNL) for the fourth time.
On December 14, the 59-year-old actor was set to host the show for the first time since opening the 46th season in 2020 during COVID-19.
The Madagascar star, who was a cast member on SNL from 1990 to 1993, was also returning to the stage for the first time since the infamous 2022 Oscars incident with Will Smith.
Although it's uncertain whether the controversy would be referenced in one of the sketches on the show, an insider told People that there is a possibility it could be addressed.
Another source talked about his current state and mentioned that Chris is "doing great."
"He's looking forward to concentrating on his comedy and career, and he is writing a ton," they revealed.
The insider also disclosed that the actor has finally moved on from the upsetting incident.
During a discussion about his dating life, it was confirmed that the Grown Ups actor is currently not taking dating seriously.
However, in 2022, the comedian was spotted with actress Lake Bell on a vacation in Croatia.
A source told the magazine that the pair had been dating for weeks and were just having fun together
