Wednesday is just around the corner as the show-runners have finally issued a statement after wrapping up shooting for season two.
Netflix took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to give its seal of confirmation, offering an insight into Jenna Ortega’s new look as a spooky teen.
On Wednesday, December 4, the streaming giant captioned the post, "Jenna Ortega closes the coffin on Wednesday season 2. Coming 2025.”
A behind-the-scenes snippet from the upcoming season was previously released, featuring Ortega’s co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams) tease, "This season is going to be bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine."
During an exclusive interview with Netflix’s Tudum, executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar confirmed that the second instalment of the series will explore "more Addams Family lore.”
Expressing their joy over the upcoming sequel, the duo revealed that they were "excited to introduce an eclectic lineup of incredible new characters".
Wednesday’s second season is yet to unfold another mystery as it’s slated to welcome several new faces to the cast including Scoop’s Billie Piper, Fool Me Once's Joanna Lumley, Boardwalk Empire's Steve Buscemi, as well as Westworld star Thandiwe Newton as Dr Fairburn.
