'Wednesday' Season 2: Jenna Ortega takes on iconic role once again in new image
Netflix drops first image of Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams in season 2 of hit series
Netflix released the first image of Wednesday season 2 and it is taking rounds on internet.
The picture showed Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams standing in middle of the dark forest, dressed in her iconic black attire.
The second season of the horror series has now finished filming and will be released in 2025.
For those who don't know, the second season of Wednesday was filmed in different parts of Ireland.
The You star is seen standing up and crossing her arms in the widely shared image.
Filming the eagerly awaited performance in Ireland was "truly magical," according to Al Gough and Miles Millar.
They further noted, “It adds a sense of timeless beauty, wonder and epic spectacle to the world of Wednesday. It’s no coincidence that Dracula author Bram Stokerhailed was from Dublin, and his stories were inspired by the stories of Irish folklore.”
Notably, in the upcoming season, the actress will play the main character and assume the role of producer.
Myers (Enid Sinclair), Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Georgie Farmer (Ajax), and Dorobantu are among the cast members who will be returning to their roles alongside Jenna.
Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Deputy Ritchie Santiago), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), Guzmán (Gomez Addams), and Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams) have all established themselves as series regulars. Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester) and Jamie McShane (Sheriff Donovan Galpin) will continue to be regulars on the show.
Although the official release date for Wednesday season 2 has not yet been disclosed, it is expected to release in July 2025.
