Zayn Malik's lookalike contest sparks fury online: 'Zayn I’m sorry'
Zayn Malik lookalike contest was being held in Bushwick, Brooklyn on November 17
The internet is going wild after a recent contest which was aimed to find the most accurate Zayn Malik lookalike, sparked wave of confusion and disbelief.
Zayn's fans and friends did not seem very thrill to see the winner of the contest as many were quick to question the judges' decision, with many of them expressing outrage, "Are the judges blind?"
On November 17, the battle was being held in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
A competitor Shiv Patel was announced as winner for looking most exactly like One Direction's former singe. Two other participants were also named as runners-up.
Many people online expressed their shock when the video from the event went viral, and some called out the judges' choices.
A post by a Twitter user @PopCrave started growing aggressively which featured videos from the event.
Half of the majority felt the same way, as they said the winner did not look like the Dusk Till Dawn singer at all and missed the mark.
Check out people's disheartening reactions:
One user wrote, "Zayn I’m so sorry."
"Should’ve won the award for worst lookalikes," shared by another handler.
"I would be fine letting nobody win if nobody looks like the actual person," another blurted out.
While sharing their lack of conviction, one said: "They picked some random guys lol."
However, the ongoing debate about who really look like Zayn Malik continued to take the center stage on social media.
