Jimmy Fallon reflects on ‘bromance’ Christmas song with Justin Timberlake
Jimmy Fallon shares details about holiday song with Justin Timberlake
Jimmy Fallon has recently dished out details about his holiday song with Justin Timberlake
Speaking to E! News, the Tonight Show host explained why he did a song with Justin.
“Everyone needs a bromance Christmas song. I figured, let's do one,” said the 50-year-old.
Jimmy mentioned he called in for some favours and even selected longtime friend Justin for his new musical comedy album, Holiday Seasoning, which also included collaborations with Dolly Parton, Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion.
Sharing more details about the song, the Saturday Night Live alum mentioned, “Basically, it's about me missing Justin Timberlake during the holidays.”
“I call him like, ‘Where are you? You're going to be there for me.’ And he never calls me back, but it has a happy ending,” he pointed out.
Earlier in September, Justin appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and opened up about the process of recording the song for the album.
“The [recording] session probably should have only taken like two to three hours… We were there for like eight hours. Eight, nine hours,” explained the 43-year-old.
The singer remarked, “We went to Electric Lady [to record it]. We had no business recording this song at such a fantastic, world-famous studio.”
Meanwhile, Jimmy added, “This is a high-quality song and legends have been there and then they let me in there and I go, ‘Oh my god. Justin, I can’t believe I’m in this thing.’”
