King Charles conducted a crucial meeting at Windsor Castle in Prince William's absence.
The monarch met King Abdullah II of Jordan at the castle during the Prince of Wales' headline-making tour of Cape Town.
Buckingham Palace shared delightful photos of the two royal figures on the royal family's official social media account.
The statement reads, "Earlier this evening The King welcomed King Abdullah II of @rhcjo to Windsor Castle to mark the year of His Majesty’s Silver Jubilee."
"His Majesty King Abdullah II, accompanied by The King, inspected a Guard of Honour in The Quadrangle."
It is important to note that King Charles's new engagement came amid William's appearance at the glitzy Earthshot Prize Award.
The future King said in a new message, "An incredible night last night in Cape Town for The @earthshotprize 2024. Thank you to everybody who made it so special."
