Snoop Dogg says wife Shante Broadus is the 'backbone' of their family
The legendary rapper shared how his wife-of-27-years always keeps him 'grounded' despite his fame
Snoop Dogg always has time for his family amid his fast-paced lifestyle, and it’s all thanks to his wife Shante Broadus.
During a Q&A at Raising Cane’s employee appreciation conference in Cancún on September 23, the legendary rapper opened up about the immense trust he has in his wife of 27 years to help keep him grounded.
"She's like my backbone," Snoop, 52, shared when asked how he balances work and family, per People. "You got to have trust and faith in other people, and I have so much trust and faith in my wife ... when it comes to my family, my grandkids."
Snoop recalled a sweet moment when Shante FaceTimed him from Disneyland with their grandchildren just before his event.
"I don’t know how to find time. I give her permission to give me time and make time for those love moments," he explained, noting how she helps him stay connected with family despite his busy schedule.
The couple has been together since high school and tied the knot in 1997. Though they briefly split in 2004, they renewed their vows in 2008 and now share three children and multiple grandchildren.
